Crossrail Notification of Local Disruption


Works taking place near Hanger Lane overbridge

Network Rail is undertaking works in the area on behalf of Crossrail.

Building works will be happening on the existing railway near Hanger Lane overbridge.

Sections of the track must be closed to operational rail traffic for specified periods, whilst the works are carried out.

The lines between Ealing Broadway and Acton Main Line, to the east of Hanger Lane overbridge will be subject to closures on the following dates and times, for the activities shown

Saturday 30 January 09:00 –08:00 Sunday 31 January

Plant and equipment such as cranes, dumpers, and excavators with a track delivery train will replace a track on the railway lines between Noel Road and Hanger Lane bridges. The main focus of the work is under and west of the London Undergroundsteel Piccadilly/District line bridge.

Sunday 31 January 08:00 -17:00

Work will continue with a train compressing the track ballast in repeated runs. At the same timean excavatorand other machines willbe used tostress rails and weld sections of trac

Sunday 31 January 16:00 –01:00 Monday 1 February

A crane and an excavator will be used to remove materials and drill holes in railsbetween Noel Road Bridge and the London Undergroundsteel bridge.

Saturday 6 February 09:00 –01:00 Sunday 7 February

Work will continue with a train compressing the track ballast in repeated runs. At the same timean excavatorand other machines will be used tostress rails and weld sections of track

Sunday 7 February 01:00 -01:00 Monday 8 February

The train will leave the site overnight. Teams of workers will continue to stress rails and weld sections of track. Other workers will drill holes in the rails for electrical connections and tidy up the rest of the site
