A 46 year old man was assaulted whilst trying to aid a fellow passenger aboard a 267 bus.  The victim, who was on his way from Chiswick to work in Brentford on Thursday 30th March 2006 at about 11.00am, was attacked after he came to the help of a female passenger.

The female passenger, who alighted the bus in Kew Bridge Road, near The Waggon & Horses, had tried to pass a man who had his feet across the seats and refused to move them.

The male victim tried to assist the woman by moving the man’s legs however, the man, who was carrying crutches and had one of his legs was in plaster, refused to move.

An argument ensued and was joined by another male believed to be a companion of the man on crutches.  The male victim was across his head with one of the crutches and his dog was also attacked. 

The two suspects kicked their victim off the bus before leaving the bus themselves to catch a 65 bus towards Ealing.

The victim was taken to West Middlesex Hospital by ambulance where he was treated for head injuries.

The suspects were described as black males about 30 years. The one with his leg in plaster was about 5’06”, stocky build, cropped hair, wearing a black windcheater jacket with white writing, navy blue jeans, plaster cast, carrying two steel framed crutches.

His companion was 6’05”, skinny build, short affro hair, wearing a tan leather jacket, denim stonewash blue jeans and a yellow T shirt.
