Ealing Council Christmas Hours


Some services operating at different times over the holiday

Residents will be able to access essential council services in an emergency during the festive period via telephone every day, including bank holidays.

Council staff will also be taking non-emergency telephone enquiries on Thursday, 30 and Friday, 31 December, from 9am-5pm.

The Children and Adults’ Social Care line on 020 8825 8000 will be operating between Wednesday, 29 and Friday, 31 December, from 9am-5pm.

Residents can still report any emergencies to the council as normal by calling 020 8825 5000, 24 hours a day.

As always, teams will be on standby to carry out gritting on roads across the borough as required.

Libraries will close at 4pm on Friday 24 December 2010 and reopen on Tuesday, 4 January 2011. Ealing Central Library will be open on Thursday, 30 and Friday 31 December between 9am and 5pm.

The customer service centre at Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing will be closed to all visitors from Monday 27 to Wednesday 29 December 2010 and on Monday 3 January 2011. There will be fewer customer services representatives than usual on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 December, which may result in slightly longer than normal waiting times.

Usual parking restrictions will apply to any CPZ normally operational on the following dates:
Friday, 24 December 2010 (Christmas Eve)
Sunday, 26 December (Boxing Day)
Wednesday, 29 December
Thursday, 30 December
Friday, 31 December
Saturday, 1 January 2011 (New Year’s Day)
Sunday, 2 January.

CPZ restrictions will not be enforced on
Saturday, 25 December 2010 (Christmas Day)
Monday, 27 December (bank holiday)
Tuesday, 28 December (bank holiday)
Monday, 3 January 2011 (bank holiday), but the Highway Code still applies.

Waste and recycling collections will also change over Christmas.
