Buy Something Useful This Year

Help the young and homeless this Christmas

The Centrepoint ‘More Than A Gift’ campaign lets you buy virtual gifts that are changed into donations to support young homeless people aged 16–25.

Centrepoint virtual gifts allow supporters to buy gifts that will provide vital support for homeless young people this Christmas. Your support donations could provide vital safe, secure accommodation; meals; washing facilities toiletries and towels; course books, baby clothes; counselling and careers advice and other much-needed support assistance for someone whose life has been filled with misery and loneliness.

As well as helping to bring happiness to a homeless young person living with us, ‘More Than A Gift’ is an ideal Christmas gift for even your most ‘hard to please’ loved ones. Simply choose from our selection of great gifts from our easy-to-use website. We’ll send your friends and family beautiful cards, or e-cards, personalised with your message and detailing your gift or, if you prefer, we’ll send the cards to you to hand out in person. We can also send your loved-one an update on how their gift helped in the New Year.

Your generosity will improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable, marginalised young people in our society, helping them to turn their lives around.

However, they are used here to represent the way gifts could be used, and Centrepoint will use donations where they are needed most (in the year 2008 to 2009, Centrepoint spent £12.6 million directly on services such as providing food, accommodation and support to young people).
