A special Route 65 event was held by the London Bus Museum this Sunday (11 April).

People along the route in Brentford and Ealing were able to enjoy the spectacle of old buses running along this long historic route between Argyle Road in West Ealing and Leatherhead.

During the road run by historic vehicles a free bus service was offered subject to Covid-19 constraints including strict limits on capacity with the current routes and stops used.

There were over 25 buses in service on the route, of which 20 will be over 40 years old.

They included both historic and current buses from the London Bus Museum, private owners and bus operators, the majority being former London Transport RT and Routemaster families.
