The London Cricket Trust has helped set up a new facility in Blondin Park to encourage more people to take up the sport.

A special event was held on 7 September with Munir Ahmed, the Mayor of Ealing, and pupils from Ealing Fields High School on hand to try out the new non-turf pitch

A new sports pavilion was opened at the same time by the Mayor.

A spokesperson for the London Cricket Trust said, “The purpose of the launch is to promote the new facility, with the hope that it will create opportunities for cricket within the local community, while also improving social cohesion and physical activity.”

The trust and has installed nearly 70 new cricket facilities in parks and schools across London since 2018.
