London Christmas Trees Saving Lives In Africa

London's favourite treetailer Christmas Forest is back

The Christmas Forest is London's favourite treetailer with each pop up venue creating the magic of going to a country farm. With the widest selection of Trees for Londoners to choose from, it's a great chance to rummage through nature in the city.

Maybe it will be love at first sight but if you don't see the chosen one immediately, there is no rush! Don't choose until you have touched, smelt, taken a step back to look and spun it around (more than) a few times with carols and friendly Foresters to greet you and help you find your favourite.

As long term supporters of the charity Tree Aid (see below for more detail) you are also gifting a tree as a tree is planted in Africa for each one sold – we are aiming to hit our 200,000 th tree this year.

Each of the 10 Forests are very fa
mily (and dog) friendly with plenty of parking to make it a family experience. Let the children run around, hide and seek in the Forest and have a go in the Christmas Lucky Dip or make a wish on our magical wishing tree.

Tree experts can guide you through the five different varieties and sizes all on display: scented and non-scented, drop and non-drop and re-plantable living trees. They are all farmed from sustainable sources - every tree cut is replaced by a new one - mostly in the UK to minimize 'tree miles'.

Helpful elves will carry the tree to your car or provide a simple delivertree option.

If you are pressed for time there are Click and Pick option available online. Fresh trees delivered to your door or office in no time!

Tree Aid

Well Here it is Merry Christmas, everybody's having fun, here's to the future now, we've only just begun.

Did you know your Christmas tree could help a family living in Africa's drylands to grow themselves out of poverty and a tree means life not just Christmas.

As a family run business with our merry band of workers, we've delighted in bringing London all the all the fun of the Fir to London's Christmas season for 17 years. Providing a place for Londoners to hand pick a tree and share in the joy of Christmas is why we do what we do. But as well as bringing fresh forests to the Big Smoke, we get out of bed extra early in the morning knowing that we can make a difference for our friends at Tree Aid.

It will almost certainly be wet and windy when you buy your tree (wrap up warm when you come to see us!) and throughout the year round our crops get enough water to mature into the fresh trees that will sparkle in your living room, but at all times Africa remains the driest continent in the world. Lack of water and Trees affects nearly half a billion people.

'Before, we did not know why trees were important. My children were often hungry and we had no way to make money when our crops did not grow. Thanks to our trees our bellies are now better fed and I can sell fruit in the market. I can buy pens for my children so they can go to school. Tree Aid has helped us understand how we can stay in our village and build a future for our children.' Ama Yahya, Bankass, Mali

'The Christmas Forest partnership with Tree Aid is supporting communities living in some of the harshest places on the planet to turn their lives around using trees. We are delighted with their ongoing support of families living in extreme poverty'. John Moffett, CEO TREE AID

More trees in Africa saves lives. Trees mean fewer villages being swallowed by the desert, families are able to be nourished, sources of income and livelihoods are provided which creates opportunities for children to go to school. So that's why for every one tree you buy buy from us, we plant one in the drylands of sub saharan Africa.

These trees provide fruit, medicine, and protection to support communities living in some of the harshest places on the planet. It all starts with a single seed. Here's to planting many more trees and spreading some of that Christmas joy as far as we can.
