Care Concern Homecare Recognised For National Best Practice In The Parliamentary Review

Highlighted as an example of excellence in the UK Care sector

Care Concern Homecare Ltd has been highlighted as an example of excellence in the UK Care sector in an annual government publication.

The CQC-rated Outstanding care provider has featured in The Parliamentary Review – a series of publications that provide sector specific insight into industry best practice endorsed by Prime Minister Theresa May, with the aim of sharing knowledge, raising standards and inspiring others.

Founder Clare Drewell and Compliance Manager Laura Drewell attended the Parliamentary Review gala event at The Terrace Pavilion in the Palace of Westminster – home to the Houses of Parliament. Also in attendance were MPs including local MP for Brentford and Isleworth, Ruth Cadbury, and leaders from a range of industries. Speakers at the event were broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer, Harlequins rugby captain James Horwill and MP Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Providing care to clients in Chiswick and Ealing since 1993, Care Concern is one of twelve exceptional social care organisations across the UK to feature in the Care edition of the Review which looks back on a year in the Care sector and in Parliament.

The domiciliary care provider has recently invested in digital care management software that allows instant care reviews by managers and keeps family members up to date with their relatives via an app on their mobile phones.

The entire team focus on providing personalised, compassionate care to their clients, many of whom are living with dementia in the latter stage of their lives, and this technology has enhanced their ability to respond to the changing needs of their clients.

The Parliamentary Review is sent to over half a million leading business executives, policy makers and other relevant individuals.

Theresa May commented that “this year's Parliamentary Review follows a significant year in British politics” which is reflected in the review of the Care sector over the last 12 months.

Chief Inspector of Hospitals, Professor Ted Baker added that “to continue to deliver good, safe, sustainable care, providers must think beyond traditional boundaries and leadership at all levels will be of critical importance”.

Clare said, “We're delighted to feature in the Review alongside other examples of excellence in the Care industry. We can learn from each other and help to influence positive innovative change in the social care.”

The Review talks about Care Concern's focus on robust staff selection and training and how this is crucial to providing dignified care with the client at the centre of the service.

Daniel Yossman, the Director of the Parliamentary Review, congratulated the attendees on their outstanding and inspiring contributions to the journal and their sectors.

Sir Eric Pickles, Chairman of the Review, said: “the overarching aim of the Review is to give organisations and individuals a platform to share knowledge, insight and best practice with their peers in an attempt to raise standards in industry. The Review has a large and influential audience”
