New Restaurant on the way for W13

I'm v excited o find out that my favourite restaurant, Abu Zaad in Shepherd's Bush, is opening in West Ealing (where Cake and Bake was) It's Syrian food and the most delicious I've ever had. Unless my Mum is reading this, in which case the second best.  Can't wait. No connections etc etc

I don't know much about Persian food, but what I've experienced from Faanoos in Bond Street and the other Persian restaurants on the Uxbridge Road is great tasting food and their breads and salads are fabulous. I wouldn't mind a few holidays in Tehran or Tabriz. Anybody been?

When we go to Faanoos there are only a sprinkling of other diners there - because we're retired, we tend to eat at unusual times of the day.  Its very much busy at weekends and in the evenings. We love their saffron rice and baklavas too. Their chairs could be more comfortable - but I'm not complaining. Both their house wines are good.

We use FAANOOS in Bond Street W5 and find it an excellent Persian(Iranian) restaurant - a credit to the Ealing scene. The fillet of lamd kebabs, their salads and their freshly made bread - all with a glass of red plonk is great eating and so reasonably priced.

I am surprised Fanoos on Bond Street not being supported by the sealing public.It's a chiswick institution. The food is hot, fresh and the homemade bread delicious and it's BYOUse it or lose it

Unfamiliar with Syrian food, but as Syria is sort of between Lebanon and Turkey - well we love the Lebanese Kaaram Restaurant(opp Ealing Town Hall) and the Turkish eatery Ealing Mangal(opp Daniel's), I guess its like those foods - can't wait for it to open.  Btw, love middle eastern bread and salads.

This news sounds exciting - thanks for letting us know. Can't say I know Syrian cuisine, but always willing to try - look forward to eating at Abu Zaad when it opens in West Ealing.
