Curtain. shop recommendation

Can anyone recommend Patricia Conti curtain / interior design shop in Northfields?. Nr Tesco and opposite the scruffy carpet shop.  Or any other local curtain making shops? Thanks

I&H stores opposite Daen Gardens in the Uxbridge road in West Ealing.Cannot speak highly enough. Excellent stock and choice but on top of that superb customer service.They have a young lady there who is brilliant with calculating lengths, widths and the right drops as well as spotting any irregularities in one's measurements.We had all the nets done there for 12 odd sized windows. It took me hours measuring and checking.Her calculating, speed and accuracy and suggestions for a better look and fit were spot on. Every item fits perfectly.Makes John Lewis pale in comparison

Yes it is opposite Dean Gardens.  Have used them for years, and they always help in anyway they can.

Is the I&H curtain Store on The Uxbridge Road opposite Dean Gardens? It's a very helpful shop and a credit to the district.

I would recommend I&H Stores in West Ealing.  We have nearly always bought our curtains from there and also they are very good on alterations as well.

We've never used the new interior design or curtain making shop near Tescos in Northfield Ave, but we've used the excellent craftsman cobbler across the road and he's great. I took in an very old pair of leather shoes and he said it was too old to do much with - however, he patched them up and virtually remade the pai and they're so comfortable.

The lady who represents Plumbs in the area is brilliant and the quality and fitting is excellent and no hassle.  Just had them around again (did our lounge earlier) for a quote for black out curtains to replace our American shutters which I am being forced to have because of the new LED street lighting soon coming to a spot near you.

Good point CharlotteThough I have just had them supply and fit a carpet for me and it was 20% less for an identical carpet from another local shop.Their fitters have been with them for years and did a superb job on a awkward shaped room.It's a bit like the Northfield Shoe Centre, tatty on the outside but a craftsman shoe repairer of whom I have yet to find an equal locally.

As Northfields seems to be getting more fashionable and trendy the carpet shop might be wise to smarten themselves up. We were looking for a carpet recently and dismissed it due to the outside ,in fact it looked like it was going out of business.... We try to buy local which is why we are looking at ordering curtains from Patricia s shop.

We have recently moved home into a refurbished house.  Patricia Conti was very helpful in organising and coordinating curtains, lampshades, rugs and even upholstery throughout the house.  She certainly knows her stuff and we got what we paid for.

Don't know them but have to say that the 'scruffy carpet shop' offers excellent prices and service. Don't judge that particular book it's cover Charlotte. The owner is a really helpful chap and has been there for years.Do though check out The Curtain Centre in High Street, Ealing Broadway. Linda Massey, who visits here now and again, also runs an interior design business from home in, IIRC, Burnham Way. She may be able to give you some alternatives.
