Billionaires choose London - why?

Most billionaires prefer to make their home in London. If I were mega-rich I think I'd choose either Paris, Sydney, Vancouver or Singapore or somewhere clean, secure, warm and convenient.  What's the big attraction to London I ask? Where would you choose to live?

I like your selection of locations - I've alwats fancied Sydney and San Francisco and Singapore. As it is we're stuck with a place near Walpole Park Ealing - but I'm not complaining - needs must.

I don't think they are actually making "their home" in London Gerry. They are making one of their homes in London. Which is why so many of these "homes" are empty for so much of the year. If I had the money I'd probably have several "homes" as well. London, Manly (a Sydney suburb on the coast, best reached by ferry), and either Munich or Vienna...

"If you are meg-rich Gerry wherever you live is clean, secure, warm and convenient.They choose London because it has a stable government, a (far too) generous tax regime for the very wealthy, it's safe and we have (despite what many think) the rule of law and order; unlike the countries where many of the mega-rich hail from/ have made their billions.
