St Thomas' May Fair Sat 10th

Come along to the St Thomas' Church  May Fair this Saturday 10th May .2 to 4pm. (Boston Road) Loads going on including toy stalls, Caribbean food, cream teas, treasure hunt and Mr Cosmo's magic show. Also, the return of the St Thomas s Big Bake Off and Little Bake Off. Adults and children can enter baked goods on the day and they will be sold off afterwards.Funds raised will be donated to The Bishop of London Mission Fund and the Angola London Mozambique Assoc.

Join the queue Gerry.I used to help my wife run jumble sales at St.Thomas's when she was Guide Captain. We decided to have a dealer preview for which we would charge £5 (rather than 20p) admission as we got hacked-off with people trying to creep in an sneak a look. We thought that the charge would dissuade them, thankfully it didn't and we used to routinely take over £100 from 'jumble sale professionals'. The only rarities that ever turned up was a piece of Lalique glass which was later sold at auction and some Beleek pottery for which the dealer gave us half the retail catalogue price (over £300)

Will there be any bric-a-brac or collectables stalls at St Thomas' May Fair later today please? I keep living in hope that I'll stumble across a valuable Faberge, a discarded Stieff or an unknown Picasso some day. You never know.
