Park Grooming

With the cuts in deep cleaning and care of Ealing's parks, surely the sensible thing would be to deep clean them all, say, every two months rather than reducing the cleaning for some to annually while keeping others with monthly cleans?

The cleanliness of Lammas and Walpole has deteriorated bit by bit despite this council saying they do a good job.  They do not!!!  Just like the streets!

Brent Valley golf course).It stayed there for over 2 months - I felt like saluting it as I walked past.

Good point. Behind the yew hedge in the South Ealing Park (next to Grange School) is an example of such indifference.I do wonder whether this is the result of a combination of manipulation by the contractor and desperation by the Labour administration - the contractor says: "We'll pull out the contract altogether unless...." and they time it close to the local election so that the Labour administration has no option but to accept or it will undermine Labour severely.

There you go again, assuming sensible and the current administration will ever appear anywhere except here.Nonsense that Labour both tried to keep the details of the contract 'confidential' and that we are, allegedly, paying the same for less.Interesting to note that since it all started going 'tits up' that Cllr."Soundbite" Mahfouz has been both a lot quieter and absent from his normally robust 'defensive' posts here.

I suppose they want to give the illusion that the borough is clean and tidy by keeping the main parks in reasonable shape.To be honest I doubt we'll see much difference as the fringes are already strewn with food and drink packaging, fag packets and Polish beer cans.
