Berni Inn and Kardomah Coffee?

Were there ever Berni INNs or Kardomah Coffee Cafes in Ealing and if so where were they located please?

Remember the Berni Inn at the Feathers, don't remember Kardomah. There was a Hennekky Inn next to the Polish church which think may have been a Berni at one stage. Hennekky were a bit more upmarket - only just about than Berni.Menu was generally Prawn cocktail, Steak and Gateau, or Rum Baba - whatever happened to those disgusting things. All washed down with a bottle of Blue Nun.

I vaguely recall there was a Berni Inn where The Feathers pub used to be at Ealing B'way. Those were the days when I thought its was fashionable to have have prawn cocktail or a melon boat with a Marachino cherry, followed by a rump steak and 'French Fries' with a glass of awful Spanish plonk, finally stuffing oneself with 'Black Forest Gateau'!  How times have changed since the early 60s - thank goodness.

It was definitely a Berni that moved from the Feathers to the shop nearest the Polish Church. No memory of Kardomah.Actually, I rather enjoyed the Berni Inn, it is a shame that it closed.

Didn't the Berni start off over the other side of the road by Halfords and then move into the Feathers?Can't say that I remember the Kardomah at all.

Yes, The Feathers later the Townhouse was a Berni and I think the eastmost (Windsor Road end) unit of the block where Halfords is now was a Kardomah.
