Whicch CPZ in Ealing Borough is the highest earner for Ealign council  for Permit and Visitor vouchers (not fines :))Have a guess at the total per year

Indeed. Thinking about it perhaps also for carers looking after those with mobility difficulties?

Slightly off topic but there is a car that occasionally parks in my road that displays CPZ "badges" for two Ealing zones.  I am assume this is ligit or they would otherwise just display one at a time and swap over as necessary.  But how can this be?  Two owners sharing a car maybe?

It's all very well that the proceeds from CPZ's are ringfenced for 'transport' purposes but is that not licence to make the transport budget zero because of the extra available and then spend more on other vanity projects?

Price worth paying!"Mmmm...That could seem a bit selfish unless you can honestly say you never park outside anyone else's house.I wonder a bit,when the whole of Ealing is "CPZeded up" will you only be able to park in your own CPZ and the car park at your chosen super market?

The problem is that CPZ's while a good idea to assist residential parking in sime areas have become a nice ;dripping roast' for the council.There are set-up costs but an annual fee of £80 is obscene given the fines that are, quite rightly, levied on illegal parkers. if it was £100 in the first year and then £10 per year strictly limited to residents and business in the area then there would be more CPZs and fewer complaints.

Crickey, a quarter of a £Million a year from only one CPZ! It would be great to think that some of this vast bounty went into the Council's general coffers and could be used for other well deserving services for the elderly or for the care of vulnerable children etc.  Or is it ring-fenced for sole use of road and parking purposes?

It would be interesting to know how much the average Ealing CPZ generates in money. It could be a fortune for all I know. Still, CPZs don't affect us since we've recently rid ourselves of our cars - incidentally, being car-free and using buses and mini-cabs and walking has save us a fortune - honestly, its pleasantly surprised us.
