Got a parking ticket on a bank holiday on a single yellow line

......in West Ealing this afternoon. Had always thought single yellows were ok outside the designated hours which were Monday - Friday but it's a Bank Holiday. Anyone had this before? I have written to Ealing council to question it.

I gather it is just that parking in regulated bays in CPZs that is relaxed on Bank Holidays but not Easter Sunday which is not a Bank Holiday.  OK in areas that do not normally have controls on Sundays of course.

If the sign says 'Mondays - Saturdays' then that includes Bank Holiday Mondays. For Bank Holidays to be exempt the sign would also have to include 'Except Bank Holidays' "
