Builders rubble seems to be difficult to find a home for. There is another alternative to a skip.  These are very large bags called Hippobags which you can find at DIY stores.  Take a look at the website.  You can buy the bags online or on the internet.  When the bag is filled you phone up and request removal.  There may also be other companies doing this.  http://www.hippobag.co.uk/?gclid=COTNlve7iL4CFRDItAodAHwA-wI have also seen a company advertised with vans that collect your unwanted "junk".  I believe that they also do these sort of bags.  You must make sure they are licensed waste carriers.Take a look at this website and you will find companies that collect furniture and white goods which work. The British Heart Foundation does as well. Some of these collect free. That makes 7+1 places.  Then there is this website and ebay and Gumtree and Freecycle etc.  http://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/    Hover over Reduce Waste and a lot of further info appears. For non working white goods many companies that you buy from have a take-back scheme so you pay a small amount and they remove the old appliance and take the packaging away for the new one at the same time. There is free electrical recycling for commercial companies' equipment available and there are new recycling banks for householders small electrical equipment - there is one of these at Sainsbury's Chiswick and one opposite South Ealing tube that I have seen.  Others will be listed on the Council website.http://www.recycleforlondon.com/content/free-electricals-recycling-businessWe need to make the most of our waste as so much of it can be viewed as a valuable resource.
