Racist messages in house window
I was walking back from the Sainsbury's in West Ealing with my fiancé last week, when he pointed out a top floor window in a house (on Regina Road) that had some disturbing signs, large enough to be read from the other side of the street - one was 'Yanks go home' and the other 'Judenrein'.On looking up what Judenrein means, Wikipedia says "("clean of Jews") was a Nazi term to designate an area "cleansed" of Jewish presence during The Holocaust. While Judenfrei referred merely to "freeing" an area of all of its Jewish citizens, the term Judenrein (literally "clean of Jews") was also used. This had the stronger connotation that any trace of Jewish blood had been removed as an impurity". I find it really upsetting and offensive that anyone would want to put this up in their window. Is there anything that can be done about it? Are they legally within their rights to display whatever messages they like?
