A whistleblower in Stafford had to be escorted to and from work.Just remember how the care in that hospital had deteriorated.Nurses can be put in the position of being worked off their feet to so that they are so tired that they do not fill in the forms saying what happened on their shift that was potentially dangerous and shouldn't have done. They may not realise it is happening to them until they are so tired that they make a mistake themselves.The pressure gets pushed down the line. If the consultants aren't there then the less experienced doctors have more pressure and it is often more experienced nurses who are showing inexperienced and young doctors what to do.
