1. Fullers stops me going to pubs. Their pubs, which unfortunately form the majority of the venues in Ealing are just not places I like going to and quite simply rip off their customers.2. Service - I could just about tolerate a premium price if I got a premium service. The Plough (particularly) and The Forester (to a slightly lesser extent) are staffed by people who would rather chat with their mates, check their mobiles, hide (yes I've seen this in the Plough!) or pretend they're busy rather than engage with and serve their customers.3. The Offer - I get the strong feeling that the pubs prefer people who eat. There are no high quality gastropubs in Ealing worth visiting so imo the eaters are an annoyance to the core purpose of a pub, i.e. serving decent drinks.I'd like a pub that serves a few well kept ales and bottled beers / lagers / wines, which is staffed by people who know how to work a crowded bar and know about their products, which has live music every so often, preferably local musicians, which contributes positively to the community and which doesn't charge extortionate prices.
