Traffic jams at new roundabout

Following the extensive work on the new roundabout at Acton High Street/Steyne Lane,the build-up of waiting cars has become much worse, particularly coming from the Ealing direction along the Uxbridge Road.  Why is this, what have they done?   It was supposed to be an improvement!

Really? It seems to have made a significant difference (for the better) every time I've driven through. Traffic has always been heavy around there, but I thought things had improved since the roundabout was introduced.
