Spanish nanny for the royals

Kate and William have hired a Spanish nanny.Do you think they should have hired an English nanny?Are foreign nannys better than English ones.I see the press are trying to find any dirt on her. She hasn't paid her council tax in Spain for a couple of years and is wanted by the tax authorities. Oh dear, not a good start.Lets see what other skeletons they dig up. Is she really who she says she is or an imposter under a fake name.

Not all the Spanish hate their king, obviously, but he is going through a very bad patch. Shame so many people have forgotten how swiftly he acted when the military tried to seize power again in ?1981.Carla Bruni, on a state visit, said that both HM and HRH spoke French like natives.

Both the Queen and Prince Phillip are fluent in French and often speak it when they want to hold a private conversation.Dunno if all Spanish hate their King.

The Queen's French might be perfect because someone else writes the speeches but her accent is idiosyncratic ! Prince P - never heard him speak anything but English

Surely creed, colour or nationality don't matter, it should be whose best qualified to help him on his way to being a well rounded individual

'at least one Royal might speak a second language'. Prince Philip speaks several languages fluently; the Queen speaks perfect French. The younger generation seem stubbornly monolingual, though.I look forward to little George greeting everyone with 'Hola!'.

Agree Susan. Also, it might mean that at least one Royal might speak a second language with some degree of fluency rather than sounding ridiculous when they try.

It wouldn't surprise me if they wanted a foreigner so they wouldn't have to cope with all the class crap implied in having a British one -- being curtsied to every morning or whatever. Spain is a monarchy too, but they hate their king.
