ALERT - dodgy house visitor

Just had a man - seemily on his own - with a badge dangling form around his neck and a clipboard 7:10pm tonight - very dark outside but fortunately front light went on.  He said he was from a security firm and wanted to evaluate my house security - just to make me aware was all and would only take a few minutes of my time. Very smilely and polite.  Ummmmmm! As he was sent on his way, he stopped and made a gesture as if he was marking something in his clipboard.

Evidently 112 is for emergencies as well as 999.  They gave me the number 101 which responded quickly and were rather keen on telling the borough and will send a car around the adjoining streets.  Like it.

Agreed - 112 is the equivalent of 999 and has been for 15 years or so.

Alert the police, via 112 as it's not an emergency---------------------------------------------That should be 101 if it is not an emergency or 999 if it is.
