Missing Malaysian airline

What are your theories on the missing airline?There is definetely a cover up going on.Is Iran involved. Could it be to do with nuclear weapons?Is that why there is a cover up. Is there going to be a nuclear war?So many questions but someone out there knows.

Why is everyone convinced that the Malaysians have been involved in a cover up? The plane vanished. No one knew how or where or why. That's not a cover up: it's not knowing.You can't tell people 'The Truth' if you don't know what it is.

I am dissapointed at the latest news. It feels like a cop out by the Malaysians. They expect the rest of the world to do their work and they do nothing.The whole investigation has been a complete cock up and cover up and I wouldnt trust anything the Malaysians have to say.I hope the more civilized countries discover the truth.

In one report yesterday they stated they have widened the search to as far afield as France and Australia. It really seems to me they gave no idea what happened or who did it or why.

Just listening to the update on the radio. they are now effectively looking at an area twice the size of continental Africa with, potentially, 648 runways capable of taking an aircraft of that size and almost 1000 runways where the plane 'could be landed'.Needle in a haystack doesn't even come close.

Yes, let's find someone to blame, then everything will be fine.No point in praying. Apart from the fact that no one is listening, it's a hopeless case. They're all dead. Hope is just disappointment deferred.

What I found very frightening and reminded me of a horror film is when the pilot said 'Goodnight'. It was as if he intended to kill all his passengers and was saying goodnight to them and to himself.I still pray that they will be found all safe and alive.With all this technology, why can't they find the plane.Somebody high up needs to be made accountable - either Malaysian airlines, Malaysian govt, the airport control checking procedures, the pilot authority association.

They have to be at the bottom of the sea, Gerry, whatever route the airliner took. Anything else is inconceivable. I felt very sorry for a poor woman on the lunchtime news insisting that she knew in her heart that her bloke was still alive. I suppose it helps with the transition.

As the facts of this frightening story become revealed it beomes stranger than fiction - its like a novel about international terrorism. I'm sorry for the unfortunate relatives and friends of the innocent passengers. Where are they?

Reported that the pilot was a political fanatic.Does this mean that everytime we fly, we need to know if pilots or co pilots are fanatics or belong to any extremist groups.Our lives depend on the pilots. So are all pilots vetted thoroughly - Mi5, Fbi etc checks.I certainly will not be flying again.

reported - Pakistani pilot had links to Bin Laden.Probably passengers will be held hostage unless USA meet certain demands imo.

The conspiracy theorists are having a field day with this one.INMARSAT were, apparently getting 'live' signals from the plane's transponder for five hours after the 'last' air traffic contact. But these don't give position information.In which time the plane could have covered 3000 miles in any direction (at full speed). So, describe a circle with a radius of 3000 miles and you have an area of over 28,000,000 square miles. That's a bit like looking for a small car 'somewhere in western Europe'.

These are interesting questions Rhys. Slowly, the questions are being answered; we'll just have to be patient, but its intriguing. In the meantime, we could speculate. But I'm not inclined to guessing.
