Protest against Hanson Cement Plant W3 0AZ this Sat 8th @ 11 am :-

Public Protest - make your feelings known.The Ealing Borough Council Planning Committee will be paying a site visit to the Hanson Cement Plant at 305 Horn Lane, Acton, London W3 0BP this Saturday 8th March 2014 at around 11 amIf you are against this obtrusive Cement Plant being built (without Planning Permission) and located in a populated urban area, please demonstrate your feelings by turning up at 11 am as a show of strength.Planning Committee Members DO take note when residents publicise their dissatisfaction en-masse - so bring your children, your neighbours and your friends!The visit by Planning Committee was going to be a "Drive By" however this has been challenged and now sensibly changed to a proper "walk around" by Planning Committee Members, prior to the retrospective Planning Application being considered next Wednesday night 12th March at Planning Committee.

The original Cement Plant, demolished a few years ago (again, without Planning Permission!) was constrained by strict conditions in the planning permission of 11/11/64A full and proper Planning Application to build a new Cement Plant was made by Hansons on 11/7/05 (P/2005/2580), and then mysteriously withdrawn.Then, Hanson Cement decide to go ahead and construct a massive new Cement Plant in 2011 anyway, violating conditions set in 1964, without bothering to apply for Planning Permission this time.The new Plant is right beside an urban, residential area, as is the entire Horn Lane Industrial Estate located.This arrogant company thinks if it went ahead and built anyway that the gutless Ealing Borough Council Planning Department would roll over and "Grant" - and Hanson's may well be right after this Wednesday night.More information and background at SHLAP:-https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/StopHornLanePollution/infoPlease Join!!!
