Water water everywhere but is there enough to drink?

Thinking the home page needs a few new topics, I thought I'd throw out a conversation I had at work yesterday.During a meeting on the recent bad weather, high water table and water ingress into buildings someone asked are the reservoirs in the UK now full?General conclusion is no as it has to fall right places, slow and steady.Hose pipe ban this summer?

Keith and Jean, Walpole Park is now a kind of wetland, which my wife and I walk through most days to get to our Mount Ararat - that's The Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre - for shopping and our double expressos.

Large areas of Walpole Park are closed to the public and also the two gates to Mattock Lane, but the rest is still open Susan.  Its quite a mess still and building work will go on 'til about April'ish.

I don't know much about resevoirs, aquifers, wells or water tables, but living next to Walpole Park for nearly five decades, we've never seen so much standing water in the park - its thoroughly sodden and super saturated - its worrying.

I will try and find the link but the aquifers and reservoirs are now full as the rain 'fell at the right time'.
