The Bev threads are getting ridiculous

This is a local community forum Bev not a dedicated 'relative tracing' site.I log on this morning to see no fewer than FOURTEEN threads that have started on the front page, pushing LOCAL information off the front page.Even if I was able to assist any more with local knowledge I would not as I have neither the time nor inclination to read FOURTEEN threads.To save alienating any more people with your personal quest Bev I would suggest that you contact the site administrator asking that they consolidate all of this fragmented into one place.While I empathise with you Bev, PLEASE DO NOT START ANY MORE THREADS.

I contacted the editor this morning and excessive new threads have now gone. So, the lesson is don't reply to them.

Absolutely, I have nothing but empathy for Bev's plight Keith. She has, however been asked time and time again to stick to one thread as this would enable her to build a list of information rather than extract snippets from countless threads.Bev also seems reluctant to put her 'feet on the street'. there is no better alternative than actually talking to people. She only lives in Surrey I believe and Ealing is not 'a million miles away'.

You may feel she is alittle obsessed with this search but what you have said is bordering on character assassination of someone you don't know and who may just have lost a little perspective about how her threads come across. She obviously feels a lot of anguish and pain about the events of her past and the absence of her father. Give her a break.

Oh dear. I sense a very troubled woman. Just been reading some of the other threads and she sounds very intimidating and aggressive. Something just doesn't add up with her. Maybe she should be the one who should be blocked.

The threads were bumped by a reply by the son of one of the Chris's Bev was looking for who is now sadly deceased. He and his family have been upset by the attention and he saw fit to reply to each and every thread she started. I made the mistake of commenting on the Wimpy 1969 thread and got a mouthful for my trouble. Where's Gerry, we need some new threads starting...
