You can get into the petition by typing http://chn.ge/1evdmbE into the address bar.  Please sign if you haven't done so and get others to.  1500 signatures can a debate in the Council.  This should be a flagship project that all parties can get behind.

It's a badly planned mess Peter and I firmly believe that what we get will leave few happy and most fuming.At peak times the place is mental. It's also (in my view) massively unsafe. I would hate to see a time where we needed to evacutate promptly.I hope the group "Save Ealing Centre" are best placed to represent us going forward.The pick up and drop off will end up being chaos - the area is already too congested with traffic trying to get to the Uxbridge Road and too many bus routes congesting Haven Green. It will need a real re-think to deliver something that in 50 years, when most of us will likely not be here, will still be fit for purpose.

Good Idea and will sign. I saw the plans just last week and they look like the work of a work experience junior who can use CAD but does not understand much else.How on earth could Ealing Council vindicate such a poor offering?Might also be worth lobbying Sir Peter Hendy as he did grow up in Ealing in the same street as my wife's family

But Ealing has a history of a lack of joined up thinking so why not. The new proposals also lack adequate drop off and pick up facilities

Thanks for sharing that Paul.We live in hope - it really does beggar belief to me that the shoddy proposal was ever presented in the first place. Must think us Ealing folk are daft!!!

Still need to keep up the pressure on this but it looks like it is beginning to have some effect. Following criticism from architect Lord Richard Rogers and Tessa Jowell and questions from our local GLA member Dr Onkar Sahota, Crossrail may well decide that Ealing Broadway (and the other suburban stations, several of which are in Ealing) should have an independent design review after all.
