Depressing times.

I learnt today that this time in January is when most troubled married couples split up and seek a solicitor for divorce, most unhappy 'partners' agree to drift apart and most feuding couples go their different ways. Depressing news - sad really.

Although marital strife and divorce are depressing, there's happy news on the economic front.  The IMF declares that the British economy is forecast to improve not to 1.9% but by 2.4% and that the UK is the most healthy of the European countries and expanding fast! Hurrah!

What more depressing Jim is that we continue to send aid to this 'emerging powerhouse' while slavery, malnutrition, child prostitution, forced marriage and caste-based hate is still prevalent.

Yes Gerry, apparently there are two 'black Mondays' in January the second and third Mondays when people are at their lowest ebb in terms of well-being and relationships.
