The most painless way to get slim is to eat fresh, whole food. Cut out the processed junk, reduce portion size and eat more veg. There is no easy way to get in shape though. My advice is to manage weight in a slightly different way to the norm. Use scales AND the mirror. Your eyes will pick up the results after six weeks if you stick with it. Its always six weeks. How old are you approximately? Have you been sporty before/recently? It is a good idea to get a check up at your GP before starting. Every morning have a pint glass of water by the bed ready to drink when you wake up. Then brush teeth, etc. This will flush out your gut ready to start the day. Then some cardio - a steady state jog preferably but a brisk walk or bike ride is also fine.Whether you exercise or not have porridge every morning. We all need more complex carbs and roughage in our diets. If you do exercise then also have some boiled/poached eggs, kippers, grilled bacon or some such protein source.Have plenty of snack fruit and veg during the day. Some people will say fructose is bad but you will cave in without some sweetness in your life and the fruit is good for you so don't worry. Stay hydrated. The old dage that you are often thirsty instead of hungry is often true.More exercise of an evening. Vary between cardio and H.I.T. but don't overdo the H.I.T. Classes are a great way to learn something new aswell as socialise/compete with others. I haven't heard of many success stories from Zumba but the old classics of aerobics, boxercise, yoga, etc are great. I can recommend a pilates instructor if you are interested.I used to compete in sports that had weight divisions so I am pretty clued up on gaining and maintaining strength, speed and skill whilst also cutting weight.
