Xmas Tree

Do the council pick up/recycle Xmas trees in W5 or is it a trip to the dump?Cheers!

Dump?  Where have you been for the last 15 years or so?We have Reuse & Recycling Centres nowadays!Usually there are huge piles of real Christmas trees at particular organised areas inside the parks and they are then chipped for use in the parks.There is something rather nice (but sad) about walking or taking your tree down and away to be disposed of like this- part of the tradition that is Christmas.(The places and the information are listed below (although I bet you've done yours by now.):You can also take it to Kew Gardens (Brentford Gate).  In the past you could have had a free ticket to the Gardens in exchange but I can't see that offer this year. :(http://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/200950/recycling_and_christmas/1652/recycling_your_real_christmas_tree

You should be able to leave them out with your normal rubbish collection, or there are several pick up points in the parks - further details on the council website:http://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/200950/recycling_and_christmas/1652/recycling_your_real_christmas_tree
