SEARCH FOR MY LONG LOST FATHER

Hi allLast year you may remember I placed a thread to try and ask for Your help and if anyone could remember the wimpy in ealing in 1968. I have since had a search done at London library and wondered if anyone knew or knows the following Christofis philipou of 3 winchester streetChrystomus toumezou of 19 alfred streetChristakis christodoulidid of 142 valetta roadThese lived there in 1968 but I have no idea how old they were then

Hello Bev, this is Christofis' son, to get to the point you have been posting info about my father who sadly passed away nearly 3 years ago on various forums i.e. Facebook, Cypriot news threads. This is really upsetting our family in particular my mother, who has a heart condition. Just for the record my father has never worked in Wimpy, he was not 24 in 1969, he was 13 years older, he never lived with his brother - Rodis, never had a bedsit in Shepherd's Bush but a studio flat with his family. Where did you get the information about my father's nickname??? You were offered a DNA test but you refused to do it saying that you had no finances to do so. Please can you stop posting information about my father as he can't answer for himself as he is no longer with us.

Bev, you could try asking the owners and proprietors of the Greek and Cypriot restaurants in Ealing - some Greek restaurants have been in Ealing for ages - they might have known of your father. Good luck in your search.

As he would be quite elderly now he may be known to local social services but you would need a surname and date of birth I would think. Would you recognise him if you saw him?

Would he have been on any electoral roll - I would have thought it quite possible that he wasn't so wouldn't be listed.  I think you need to arrange to go and visit the local Greek or Greek Cypriot community to try and jog some memories.  Have you any photos?

Hi nicola electrol roll ? I only have a Christian name and some info about his past. We went to the British London library hand narrowed it down to 3 names ... I'm so upset about it all and the chances of finding him are so slim

I've done a lot of research and managed to trace 5 different families across the world. There are several online forums which could help you. One is CousinConnect.com where you can post a request for people to contact you. One that I found particularly helpful was rootshcat.co.uk. Have you tried the electoral role? I think you can access that at the library. Also at Ealing main library you can access Ancestry.co.uk using your reader ID.Nicola

HelloI have contacted 2 television programmes one I still haven't heard back from and the other says they cannot do any more of a search than the one they Apparantly did so cannot help :-(

As you are not having much luck, have you considered writing to ITV Surprise Surprise. They have teams of investigators (as long as you don't mind them broadcasting your life)
