10pm Accident at Iron Bridge ; Uxbridge Road was closed
A car was badly damaged and on it's side under the Iron Bridge at around 10pm this evening with some 20 Fire and Accident personnel in attendance to free the driver.Only one vehicle seemed to be involved in the incident but bollards outside that McDonalds were damaged.Buses were being terminated either side of the bridge.and all traffic diverted ..... as "under the bridge" was a total accident scene. Major detours for traffic as you can imagine.The driver was seen freed and then stretchered. He seems to have been lucky to escape a worse fate. Emergency rescue teams looked well organised.So: this may be the cause of late arrival home for many people.
