Excellent lunch at Ealing's Cote Brasserie.

Four of us have just returned home after an truly delicious Christmas Eve lunch at Cote. I'm aware that Cote is a chain, but I must praise them for an utterly tasty and memorable lunch...the maitre d' kindly took £10 off our bill as a Christmas gesture! What a great way to start the Christmas season. A good time was had by all.

Just returned from Cotes in Ealing Broadway. I had a lovely evening. Food was tasty and the service was excellent.

When we were in Amsterdam last month we went to a super restaurant called Humphreys -- excellent food and service, great atmosphere and good prices -- and were amazed on leaving and being given their business card to discover that it was part of chain with a dozen or more branches in the Netherlands and Flanders. Some companies really can make it work.

Agree with you Jim, we find Cote gives good value and is always reliable. Some folk dislike 'chain' restaurants; we do usually. But there are a few 'chains' we admire...two come to mind like the Loch Fyne group of eateries and Carluccios.

Cote is remarkable value for money, I've been to several and not once been disappointed. The interiors are elegant and spotless and the food is all done well.

Cote gets top marks from me too Gerry.I've been twice to the Turnham Green Terrace branch and once to Ealing's in the High Street... in recent weeks.There's a pleasant unruffled atmosphere about the restaurants, great style, and very tasty satisfying food.Behind the scenes are well trained staff and recipes and dishes to please. Highly recommended to those who haven't ventured in.Glad to hear you're still living the good life Gerry. A gentleman of good style and taste who adds to the Community around him.(Isn't that what you told me to say Gerry?) ;0)
