Jack there is a program named AdAware which will stop all these popup ads. Just Google it.

Depends on your email program. Look in the settings for that program and there should be somewhere you can block certain addresses.
How does one block emails from an individual, not a company?

just use google chrome for your internet browser instead of internet explorer... it works just the same (if not better) and has no pop ups.go to https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/and click on download chromeits also less likely to let your computer get a virus

Jack - this sometimes works for me with Internet Explorer but only if you can see the web address (url) of the pop up window:1 - copy the web address of the pop up2 - click on "Tools", then "Internet Options", then "Security"3 - click on the "Restricted sites" then on the word "Sites" directly below4 - paste the pop up url into the first box and click on "Add" and then close the boxes down Works in the same sort of way for other browsers although Mozilla Firefox tends to block them all automatically anyway.Good luck

You may have downloaded something that allows this popup to keep appearing. You could go to the control panel then click onto programs and features and uninstall any suspect programs. You can see by the date of download if it is something that you haven’t authorised. Be careful not to uninstall anything that is important.

I rarely get pop-ups, but when I do I find them tedious. My son doctors my computer, so I've no idea of the remedy, if any.

You could go to www.youronlinechoices.com, select UK and then tick all of the villains you want to block, which was all of 'em in my case. It mostly works but some still get through,so you'll need to scan often.

Which version of Windows jack and which browser? There are plenty of legitimate pop-up blockers available, just be VERY careful where you download from.
