Cristmas wreaths on front doors.

Is it my imagination or are there more wreaths on front doors in Ealing this year? And the nice thing is that they are larger and more decorated than previously. I wonder what the meaning is behind wreaths - what's the tradition assosiated with these decorative hangings? I like them.

There's a house in Lionel Road North which goes all out every year -- whole front covered with flashing Rudolphs etc.

There's a terrific display of Christmas lights  on a house in Ecclestone Road, West Ealing.Maybe OTT.. but great and tasteful.

Greetings Jim. There aren't many OTT house Christmas decorations in this part of Ealing this year. Although they're over-the-top I do like to see them - it brightens things up somewhat. Happy Christmas to you Jim.

Any over-the top house decorations round your way this year Gerry? There used to be several special displays a few years back..but heavy electricity bills put some people off. Convent Way comes to mind.  I do like Christmas wreath decorations but they need to be securely affixed these days!
