A good point well made Roy.Doubtless those who were unsuccessful in securing a place at one of the many excellent faith school, which always seemingly rank highly in OFSTED tables are disappointed that there is not a free for all at all schools.Twyford is a Church of England school with a restrictive (by commitment to faith) admissions policy. the same trust runs the William Perkin school in Greenford providing much needed high school places in the north of our borough with no such policy. If you do not want your child to go to an overtly Christian school then choose another. If, on the other hand, you do want to share in the success of a wonderful CofE high school (both of my children went there) then there are entry requirements which require your commitment. Before anyone says that that is elitist, 20% of their admissions are for other world faiths, I doubt the same is true for may other 'faith' schools locally.Let us focus on bringing the other state schools in our borough up to same excellent standards as the faith schools capably demonstrate.
