Different and novel Christmas presents.

If you like smoked foodstuffs, like kippers, salmon and Arbroath smokies and the like, be aware that some traditional smokehouses offer interesting products as Christmas pressie suggestions with nextday delivery. I've arranged for a good friend who loves real oak-smoked kippers and haddock to have one of each sent each month, for 6 times starting from next week. Its an idea for those who have everything. Have fun.

This organisation in East Acton is interesting.  I think I remember seeing it on Challenge Anneka.  They have recently won one of those grants that is the only way that anywhere seems to function without direct government money nowadays.http://www.wormwoodscrubsponycentre.org/Christmas-Hay-Appeal-2013-14.html

I like this idea and also the fact that it is something that isn't just at Christmas.  It can be overwhelming.I like the idea of a Christmas Wish List.  My list would probably include some tasks I haven't achieved yet - there is usually something that needs fixing.  Finding a spare part or instructions for something can take a long time!  My father gave me a wormery for Christmas/birthday many years ago.  I still have it but have moved on to easier to use ones (layered).  I handed an old layered one on to a primary school when I changed to one better shaped for my garden.  One of my best and most useful presents.  I bought my brother some live mealworms to make a change or add to the birdcake that he makes for the birds in the garden.  He also grew some mushrooms on a log.
