Which shop in Ealing sells the very best quality mince pies, stollen cake and custard tarts please?

What about those charity mince pies on the home page of Ealing Today?You have a choice of bidding for signature mince pies from a top chef or entering a raffle for £2 for a top chef's mince pies.

"...best warm with cream or a spoon of brandy butter."That, with a tumbler of cognac, watching 'Strictly Come Dancing' is my idea of a warm family Christmas with the tele - the sight of those dancers' chests and legs, not to mention the athletic female dancers too!  Bliss - life doesn't get better than that! Ha ha.

Home made are definitely the best.I like to add extra chopped apple to the mincemeat.  My mother-in-law used to put a piece of apricot at the bottom of hers.I like them best warm with cream or a spoon of brandy butter.Sometimes you can lift the top and put a spoon of brandy butter in and then replace the lid.

"...nestled in crumbly shortcrust pastry..."Yummie yum yum! When my wife makes shortcrust pastry, she doubles the amount of butter in the recipe and the result is super crumbly butter-rich pastry to die for. Eat yer heart out Mary Berry!PS: I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year.

Nothing beats my darling wife's mince pies. The mincemeat has been 'having a quiet drink' for the last few weeks. nestled in crumbly shortcrust pastry - can't wait.

Aldi's mince pies beat Fortnum and Mason's hands down in a taste test recently and are a quarter of the price

Parker's custard tarts are hard to beat.Mince pies, a doodle to make and invariably better than shop bought.For stolen Gerry you have to venture to the nearest branch of Aldi (Hounslow). Stollen almost as good as my sister-in-law makes and she is a baker extraordinaire who lived in the Netherlands for many years.
