Nevins Cafe South Ealing

Has Anyone else tried this place lovely staff, best cooked breakfast by far.was priced ok too has anyone got any other ideas of where to eat in the area.thanks in advance

Your wish is my command. I have been watching the Assyrian House saga for several years. The first thing to note is whether what they are trying to do is legal. They are trying to put in an entrance onto Little Ealing Ealing Lane through a private alleyway (Between some residential properties and the newly-built tanning salon). There has never been an entrance there, there is a hundred year old brick wall there that does not belong to them (or at the very least is covered by the party wall act) which they would have to break through. The alleyway does not belong to them and they have no rights of access through this. A start would be to examine this.

I am not trying to promote anyone, however, about the only eaterie on the South Ealing Road that is playing by the rules and does not serve meat that has been allowed to bleed to death without pain control (ie Halal) is the longest established eaterie there is Paninis. It is further up on the opposite side of the road next to the MAPF (Polish) Charity shop. Pretty much everyone else is either Halal or in breach of Health and Safety or planning or employment laws.

Amanda -- you've got the bit between your teeth on this one.For that all I can say is fair play!!!I wish I'd been able to rope you into my protest against The Assyrian Temple Road over-development!!Dont tar all the businesses down SER with the same brush though... there's a couple who play by the rules and still strive for good service

A small correction. When I mentioned opening on Sundays and not having planning permission I meant that it does not planning permission to open on Sundays, not that it does not have any planning permission of any sort whatsoever.

I think that you should take note that if you do start a thread on this forum under a false name to plug your own business that is operating illegally and you do have debts all over Ealing that you are unwilling to honour, and you are illegally letting office space as residential accommodation and you are dumping commercial waste then someone might notice and publish the truth here.

I wasn't being rude. I was politely asking you to observe the rules of the forum, which can be read on the home page under Rules Of Conduct. I'm afraid I don't understand what 'how do i do that i am by far the owner of the cafe' means. If it's the café I'm thinking of, then I had breakfast there a couple of years ago and very mediocre it was too. It may, of course, have changed hands since then.

This is blatant propaganda. Peter Jones does not own Nevin's it is owned by a woman by the name of Tarkan Duman aka Nevin who has fled the country back to Turkey in light of debts to utilities and former staff and business associates. It is most often visited by Turkish girls who cannot go to the police because they are illegal employees trying to get their past owed wages from a Turkish man of unknown identity who is running it as a cash-trading enterprise. The Immigration people have tried to have him deported in the past and he has gone bust in this country before leaving a string of unpaid debts from his previous restaurant venture. The offices upstairs of Nevins are being let out to at least three different households as rooms for cash in the hand even though they are not classified as residential accommodation. It opens on Sundays even though it does not have planning permission and at present has a planning notice imposed on its rear which is classified as not built to suitable standards (that is it is probably dangerous). It is operating under restaurant planning permission given to it on the basis that it would make modification to the rear which it has not done.Mr Tan, your wish to experience the black economy would be fulfilled in full with a visit to this establishment. Councillor Taylor, and Councillor Reen take note: here is a rogue landlord right under your noses!

If you're not prepared to reveal your identity, then people will assume that you are the owner of the café, trying to use the forum to get free publicity. Thanks Peter. Can't beat a good breakfast of fried egg, bacon, fried slice and a big dollop of bubble'n squeek and a mug of tea plus two slices of white bread toast with plenty of butter and marmalade. Except a nice big poached kipper with some hot toast and a cuppa. Life doesn't get better.

Its near popes lane beside carpol insurance and near the post office . I am not sure if they do bubble and squeek I will be having my breakfast there tomorrow and will find out then I am sure they do it but just not certain.
