Advent Calendar first day?

When is the first day that an Advent calendar is opened? Where in Ealing could I buy a good Advent calendar please? We want one for a Crristmas pressie for our four year old(young) grandaughter. Thanks.

1st December for the first door Gerry.If you would like a good religious advent calendar go to the charity card shop at Christ Church. Non-religious ones are available at WH Smith.
