Roofer

Thanks to the storms last night I now know I have a problem with my roof and as a result had water dripping into my bedroom.  Can anyone recommend a good roofer who will assess the damage and give a no obligation quote? Thanks

I hope it doen't prove too bad for you.Richard's advice is very sound though - a build up of water above the ceiling could do a lot more damage than first visible at the original site.Would a tray or similar fit under the eaves?  This would at least give you a chance of directing the water to a bowl or similar?

Thanks for the recommendation.  We've been up into the loft to try and locate where it's coming from so we can put a bucket there but can't get to the exact location as right under the eaves and then found water coming in from another area no-where near where it's actually leaking down into the bedroom! it's only been small droplets coming through the ceiling so hopefully it's not a big leak....

Dean Rusk, based in Acton, 020 8992 3235.Is the water dripping through a crack in the ceiling?  If so, there may be a lot of water up there and there's a risk that it might bring the ceiling down.  Put a large bucket underneath the leak, and enlarge the hole in the ceiling to enable the accumulated water to drain.  That was Dean's advice several years ago, and I collected several litres (and preserved my ceiling) in the few days before he was able to fix the roof.
