Slimming.

What's the best way to lose weight? I'm an adult at about 5'10" and weighing circa 185kgs. I want to lose weight, but I don't want to lose-out on eating well and frequently. What's the answer?

If you are 185 lbs you are 13st 3 lbs or about 84kg.That's not exactly fat considering your height.

Must agree with Nigel. The ONLY way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Swimming genuinely is the best exercise simply because every move you make needs extra energy because of the water resistance. You can also do as much or as little as you can.

Careful with poorly researched 'quack' solutions Gerry.Vinegar is a way to add flavour and NOTHING MORE. Taken alone as a daily tonic, it can be risky. Apple cider vinegar is very acidic, and may cause irritation to your throat and stomach, and even damage tooth enamel. (It should always be diluted with water or juice before you swallow it.) It also has the potential to interact with certain drugs, so be sure to check with your doctor before taking regular doses or supplements of cider vinegar.

Hi Gerry. If you drink a glass of warm water with a dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice every day before breakfast, you will lose weight. Also, a spoonful of cider vinegar with your meals also helps.

Swimming. Lots of resisant movement in water resulting in lots of burnt calories. Also less chance of injury than jogging.If you want to give something different a go I run Hanwell Rugby Club, you are welcome to come to training with us.

Gerry, are you sure that you have the numbers right?185kg is over 29 stones. I would honestly seek urgent medical advice as, if that is correct, you are, and I can't put this mildly, morbidly obese.If you mean 185lbs. or around 15 stone then smaller portions of a well-balanced diet and time, there is NO miracle cure.
