Just posted this in another thread.Labour in Ealing has made a complete mockery of the planning decision process and it is not the first time. The Victoria Road one, also in Acton, comes to mind. Here the planning committee turned the application down but it was brought back again to committee by the then Chair and allowed to go through - the council needed the 106 money for its white elephant piazza outside North Acton Station. Planning committee members should, in reaching their decisions, be impartial and judge each application according to its own merit, not being dictated by their political master on how they must vote. Sorry day for democracy.
