Loss of GPS signal

A bit of a boring post, I know, but I would be interested to know if anyone can think of any reason why consistently in the last month or so I have lost my GPS signal when I reach Drayton Green for it only to be reconnected in Longfield Avenue travelling along the same route that the E1 bus uses? This never used to be the case.Could it be to do with more cranes close by? It is damm annoying being on a bike when you can easily become obsessive about measuring distance against speed in getting to and from work! Thanks, in advance, for your ideas. Ben

Blame the cranes.I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago driving through Walthamstow where my, normally spot-on, SatNav announced "Unable to plan your route from this location". Freaked-out as I was in the middle of a one-way system approaching a junction with five exits. Took a (lucky) guess and just as I did the SatNav signal returned.Did some research and it seems that SatNav/GPS signals can be affected by all sorts of environmental conditions including thick foliage (but only when damp or wet).

Maybe the satellite is out of range?  They live in the sky somewhere, so perhaps a bit of cloud is in the way or some birds are migrating and its getting in a tis?
