MacDonald Gill (1884 - 1947)

And don't forget if you want to see some of Eric Gill's work locally to visit St. Thomas the Apostle church on Boston Road where the arresting Calvary was carved in-situ by Gill.It's 'Open House' weekend so the church is open all day.More detailswww.thomashanwell.org.uk (including, in the photo archives, a picture of Gill carving the Calvary in 1934).
