Southbound at the junction with the Great West Road.Avoid the area. Are they ever going to actually finish digging this stretch of road up? (rhetoric question - of course they aren't!).

A lot to do with Transco replacing the gas main 'bit by bit' rather than replacing the whole stretch, One prolonged closure followed by a 'proper' resurfacing rather than this piecemeal approach would surely be better.

I cannot understand why the stretch from the ealing Park Tavern to Ealing road is in such poor state and yet every time it gets worked on it ends up worse.Has anyone else notices that that section's new lamposts are all out of true? Now there's quality..Not.

Weird is right.I have just driven back from Kew and all of the Road Closed signs and cones have either gone or been moved to the side of the road.Great, no delays, but WEIRD.

Weird: I drove that way to the Waterman's at 1:40, returning at 3:45; no delays either way.

Sorry Paul no idea. The signs say 'work starting on xx (can't remember the exact date) August' but gives no end date. With the lights out at Gypsy Corner on the A40 and a breakdown on Chiswick Roundabout this morning it was traffic beldam and took me 20 minutes to travel the mile to Swyncombe Avenue and another 45 minutes to Hammersmith.I would have taken public transport but had a boot full of files and papers to deliver.

Waited 50 minutes (8:40 until 9:30) for a 65 bus to Ealing to finally turn up in Brentford today. There was no notice on the bus stop warning of any disruption. Won't be making that mistake tomorrow!Any idea how long the closure will last?
