Meteor showers?

Did anyone in Ealing see the meteor showers display in the skies above us?

Sailing off the west coast of Scotland in fair weather must be idyllic and the view of meteors at night must be perfect - speed bonnie boat like a bird on the wing...great.

Yep - Monday night after midnight. Lay out in garden on a lounger and looked up. One or two really large 'shooting stars' and some smaller sparkles. It was a beautiful clear sky and given the light pollution in London, I was really pleased to see anything at all! On the other hand, my brother is sailing off the west coast of Scotland and he said it was truly amazing up there in the dark skies.

I've been out for a walk on several nights and looked up for a while but haven't seen any.  I've seen a lot of planes I wouldn't have known about. I've seen stars and a beautiful moon but no shooting stars and no International Space Station - which is easy to see if you look at the right time so I'm told.  There is a lot of light and light pollution in London at night. I'm not very patient at the moment though!
