Gino's Italian Restaurant - The Mall

Does anyone know what has happended to Ginos in the Mall.  Tried to book a table and the phone number is unobtainable, walked past yesterday and it has a notice saying Closed for Refurbishment but nothing about when it is to be re-opened.  Nothing appears to be happening inside.  It would be such a shame if this long established restaurant has gone out of business.

I too hope Gino's hasn't gone, had many fantastic family meals there over the years. Always a warm welcome and delicious food.

We used to like the cuisine at Gino's, it always good and reliable. But over the last year or so we've found it closed at lunchtime when we went - no notice and the inside was all tables set for eating - don't know what was going on.  When we phoned, there wasn't an answer. We go to Osteria del Portico now(next to Carluccio's on The Green W5) - they're always open and not as pricey as Gino's used to be and the quality is good.

Hope not Ginos is the best. Real proper italian cooking but cost us a fortune last time we went. But it was all completely freshly made and cooked and marvellous.
