Firstly, may I respectfully suggests that it would be better if Cllr. Dennehy were to put his postings onto the original thread about Dr. Sahota's application. The information he is turning up is very important, and the more postings on the thread the more of interest this becomes to the Planning Inspectorate in Bristol, where the application now lies on appeal. Having information about this affair over several threads does not best consolidate the case or the evidence. Secondly, the use of the phrase "please do the needful", as discussed, can indeed be interpreted in different ways, but the point is why was Dr. Sahota communicating at all with Julian Bell about a householder application before the fact, and why was he emailing him to "do" something or anything after the fact, why was he even bothering to tell the Council Leader that he had done something as ordinary and normal as submitting a planning application, unless the communication of "do the needful" was the whole point of the email?I will copy this posting onto the other thread as well.
